5 Bible Lessons About Waiting
#1 Do Not Grow Weary
Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Tend not to grow exhausted of the waiting and keep on accomplishing good. God promises your perseverance brings a reward in the proper time.
#2 Trust In God Alone
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
God's ways are greater than our ways. His plan is not always what we assume our plan is. We have to believe in that God has us where he has us for the reason. Even though you do not feel like you can continue any longer find enough strength to call out to God and trust Him to provide you with the determination to carry on.
#3 God Follows Through on His Promises
Hebrews 6:15 And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised.
This bible quote is an excellent one since it displays the end result of waiting. Abraham was given Isaac after a period of waiting as God doesn't forget to follow through on His promises.
#4 Patience Is Needed
James 5:8 You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord's coming is near.
Exactly how are you with patience? Patience is a virtue that God wants us to own. Patience needs hard work as well as an intentional frame of mind. Nearly everyone is not obviously patient and that means you must remind yourself to become patient each day.
#5 Continue to keep Having Hope
Isaiah 40:30-3 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Hope is an excellent thing. Hope gives us energy to continue waiting with an attitude of satisfaction. Never lose hope but always have wish in God and His ways.
